White Knight Ultra Pave Concrete Etcher is a non toxic, environmentally friendly solution designed to prepare bare, smooth concrete for painting. It works by lightly etching the surface to create a roughened profile, allowing coatings to bond properly and perform as intended. Ideal for use before applying White Knight Ultra Pave Heavy Duty or Quick Dry coatings, this easy to use granulated formula dissolves in water and leaves no harmful residue. Proper use of Concrete Etcher is essential to achieve strong adhesion and a long lasting, professional finish on concrete surfaces.

How to Apply
- For best results, use the recommended White Knight products and follow the step-by-step guide below.
Sweep and clean with pressure washer to prepare surface and remove dirt, dust and debris
Ensure concrete is bare, unsealed and free from contaminants
Dissolve 1kg of Concrete Etcher into 10L of clean water
Stir until all granules are fully dissolved. Warm water will speed up the process.
Pour solution into a plastic watering can for even application
Evenly apply the solution across the concrete surface
Scrub with a stiff bristle broom to ensure full coverage
Bubbling or foaming is expected to occur to indicate concrete is being etched. No bubbling may indicate the presence of contaminants or a sealer.
Allow to react for approximately 2 minutes
Rinse thoroughly with clean water before the surface dries
Allow surface to dry completely before painting
Check that the surface feels slightly rough (similar to 180 grit sandpaper)
Repeat process if required for very smooth or dense concrete
Inadequate etching can lead to poor paint adhesion and coating failure.
1kg treats up to 40m² (double garage) of concrete, depending on porosity
Highly smooth or dense surfaces may require additional product
Drying:
Allow surface to dry completely after rinsing before applying paint
Do not apply paint until the surface is fully dry and properly etched to ensure maximum adhesion.
