How to Apply

  Preparation

  • Clean surface thoroughly using an abrasive cleaning powder to remove soap deposits and body fats

  • Pay close attention to edges, around taps, plug holes and handles

  • Rinse with clean warm water and repeat cleaning as necessary

  • Sand entire surface using #240–320 wet & dry sandpaper to remove all gloss

  • Sand or grind rust spots back to clean metal

  • Rinse thoroughly with clean warm water and allow to dry

  • Clean surface using White Knight Rust Guard Solvent to remove remaining contaminants

  • Ensure surface is completely dry before application

  • Cover taps with plastic bags and seal to prevent water contamination

  Application

  Mix

  • Stir contents of Part A and Part B separately

  • Combine both parts into a metal or solvent resistant container and mix thoroughly for approximately 5 minutes

  • Divide mixture into two equal portions (one per coat)

  • Seal both portions immediately

  • Refrigerate one portion (0–4°C)

  • Allow the first portion to stand for 1 hour at room temperature before use

  Apply

  • Stir thoroughly before and during use

  • Apply first coat using a clean pure bristle brush or spray gun

  • No thinning required for brush application

  • For spray application, thin up to 10% with White Knight Rust Guard Solvent

  • Apply in a consistent motion from edges down to base

  Recoat

  • Apply second coat between 12–36 hours after first coat

  • Allow refrigerated mixture to stand for 1 hour at room temperature before use

  • Stir thoroughly before application

  • Additional coats may be required over contrasting colours

  Conditions:

  • Do not apply below 20°C or above 30°C

  Coverage & Drying Time

  • Approximately 12m² per litre

  • One pack provides sufficient material for two coats on one standard bath tub

  • Touch dry: 6 hours

  • Recoat: after 12 hours (within 12–36 hour window)

  • Full hardness: 3–4 days

  • Minimum cure before use: 5 days (in warm conditions)

  Maximum adhesion and hardness develop over several days.
