  Preparation

  Ensure the surface is clean, dry and free from dust, grease, oil and other contaminants. Wipe the surface thoroughly with a clean cloth before painting. For previously painted or glossy surfaces, lightly sand to create a smooth, even surface and remove any loose or flaking paint.

  Application

  Mix the paint thoroughly before use to ensure an even finish. Apply using a good quality brush, working in smooth, even strokes. Avoid over brushing and ensure the surface is evenly coated for the best chalkboard finish.

  Coverage & Drying Time

  Allow the paint to dry for 20 minutes between coats. Coverage will vary depending on the surface type, texture and application method. For best results, apply additional coats as required to achieve a smooth, hard wearing chalkboard surface.
