Concrete Etcher

White Knight Ultra Pave is suitable for use on any concrete surface with White Knight Ultra Pave and Paving Paint.

• This product is highly flammable. Store and use away from heat and eliminate any source of ignition.
• Soak any clothes used in water immediately after use as they may self ignite.

1. Dissolve 1kg of White Knight Concrete Etcher in 10L of clean water in a plastic bucket by pouring granules slowly into water while stirring.
2. Stir until all granules have dissolved.

1. Use a plastic watering can to evenly pour the solution over the concrete and then scrub with a stiff bristle broom. Reaction of the White Knight Concrete Etcher with concrete is shown by bubbling or foaming.
2. Allow the White Knight Concrete Etcher solution to react with the concrete for 20 seconds after bubbling stops.

If the Concrete Etcher solution does not foam a clear coating or surface contamination may be present. The clear coating must be removed mechanically before etching.

1. After etching it is essential to remove all loose residues before painting. This can be done by thorough scrubbing with a stiff bristle broom or by water blasting.
2. Any scrubbing must be followed by thorough rinsing with a strong water jet from a garden hose before the surface dries.
3. Ensure the etching has slightly roughened the surface and created porosity. It should feel like rough sandpaper - if not, repeat the etching process.
4. Test for loose residue with adhesive tape. If cement or loose material is picked up on the tape, repeat the cleaning process. If loose residues persist call White Knight customer service on 131 686 (Australia) 0800 131 686 (New Zealand) for advice.
5. Allow surface to dry completely before painting.

10L of solution will treat approximately 40m² of concrete.
