Correct surface preparation is critical to the success of the
painting project. It is essential that the following steps are
taken:
- White Knight Laminate Paint is part of a system. Surface must
first be painted with White Knight Laminate Paint following label
directions.
- Painted laminate surface must be dry (at least 24 hours after
paint application).
- Ensure that the bench top is clean, dry and free of grease,
polish and other contaminants.
- Stir Part A thoroughly with a broad, flat stirrer in a circular
lifting motion
- Add Part B to Part A. Mixing ratio is 2 parts A: 1 part B by
volume. When mixing Part A and Part B in quantities less than the
pack size use a calibrated container or ruler to ensure the correct
mixing ratio.
- Stir mixture for 5 minutes and continue to stir at regular
intervals during application
- Stir mixture with a broad flat stirrer in a circular lifting
motion for at least 5 minutes and continue to stir at regular
intervals during application.
- Apply 1 coat by brush or roller. Do not spray. Best result is
achieved by application with a foam roller and by laying off evenly
to achieve a consistent finish.
- Apply a second coat (mix fresh product) after 6 hours.
Do not use when air or surface temperature is below 10°C or
above 35°C or in excessive humidity.
Do not apply to damp surfaces or when rainfall is imminent, as
moisture contamination will prevent the curing process resulting in
a soft finish.
1 hour. Do not use product after pot life has been exceeded.
Approximately 20m² per litre.
Touch dry in 1 hour. Re-coat after 6 hours (mix fresh product).
Maximum adhesion and hardness may take 7 days.
Refrain from use during first 48 hours and avoid exposure to
steam and condensation as the system cures. Light use for the first
7 days.
Drying will be slower in cold or humid conditions, in the
absence of ventilation or where heavy film builds are applied.
Clean brushes and equipment with water immediately after
use.
