Not suitable for continuous water immersion.

To achieve a superior finish, thorough surface preparation is essential. If the surface is not prepared properly, poor adhesion will result and paint will flake off. Over a period of time substantial amounts of body fats and soap deposits build up on the tub’s surface. These deposits are transparent and therefore not easily seen, and their presence will affect the adhesion of White Knight Tub ‘n Tile. CLEAN THE SURFACE THOROUGHLY with an abrasive cleaning powder. Pay special attention to the edges against the wall, around taps, plug hole, handles, etc. Rinse off with clean warm water. Repeat as many times as necessary to ensure all build up is removed from the surface. SAND THE ENTIRE SURFACE THOROUGHLY. It is absolutely essential that the surface be thoroughly sanded to remove all shine to allow an adequate key for White Knight Tub ‘n' Tile to mechanically bond to the surface. Use a fine grade of wet and dry abrasive paper (240-320 grit) and pay special attentions to difficult to get to places. Sand or grind any rust spots back to clean metal. Rinse with plenty of clean, warm water and allow to dry. Clean the surface with Rust Guard Solvent to remove all traces of dirt, grit, body fats and other contaminants. Note: Ensure surface is dry – trapped moisture under White Knight Tub ‘n Tile can cause blistering. It is advisable to cover taps with plastic bags in case of water leaking. Stir contents of both A and B cans separately with a flat paddle. Pour the contents of both cans A and B into a metal or solvent resistant container and stir well until completely mixed (approximately 5 minutes). Divide mixture in half by pouring into 2 separate metal, or solvent resistant containers, (one half for each coat). Immediately seal both containers tightly. Place one half in the coldest part of the refrigerator (between 0° – 4°C) and allow the other half to stand for 1 hour at room temperature before use. Stir for 5 minutes before applying.

NOTE: ENSURE ADEQUATE VENTILATION AT ALL TIMES. Do not use if the surface or room temperature is below 20°C or above 30°C. Ensure surface is dust free before applying paint. Start applying White Knight Tub & Tile around the edges with a clean pure bristle brush. Continue down to base of the surface to be painted in a slightly spiral fashion. A second coat should be applied for a good finish and maximum protection. NOTE: When painting over contrasting colours additional coats may be necessary. Apply second coat no sooner than 12 hours and no later than 36 hours after first coat. (Mixed product will remain useable for up to 36 hours when kept in the refrigerator.) Use remaining contents from refrigerator and allow to warm to room temperature (approximately 1 hour) before using. Stir for 5 minutes before use and during application. Leave plastic bags over taps until surface is completely dry. For best results, allow a minimum of 5 days warm weather drying before using painted item. NOTE: FOR CLEAN-UP AND THINNING USE WHITE KNIGHT RUST GUARD SOLVENT. THINNING SHOULD ONLY BE NECESSARY WHEN USING SPRAY EQUIPMENT
Coverage

Coverage

Up to 12 square metres per litre depending on the nature of the surface. Spread rate will be lower on rough or absorbent surfaces. The total mixed quantity of this pack is suitable for the coverage of one bath tub with two coats.
Drying Times

Drying Times

Touch dry: 6 hours. Re-Coat: After 12 hours and before 36 hours. Allow a minimum of 5 days warm weather drying before using painted item. Drying times may be extended in low temperature and high humidity.
