White Knight TRUE BITE is a high quality water based anti-corrosive, universal metal primer. The quick drying formulation allows you to prime and topcoat the same day. Ideal for use on ferrous and non-ferrous metals such as galvanised iron, steel, aluminium, iron and zincalume.

Preparation

Preparation

The surface must be thoroughly cleaned, dry and free from grease, oil, dirt, salt, corrosion, rust, scale and other contaminants. Sand shiny, new metal to ensure maximum adhesion. Remove old flaking paint and loose rust with a wire brush, scraper or mechanical sander back to bare metal. For heavily rusted surfaces, use White Knight Rust Converter prior to using White Knight True Bite.
Application Details

Application Details

White Knight True Bite may be applied by brush, roller or spray. Stir thoroughly with a broad, flat stirrer in a circular lifting motion for at least 5 minutes before use. Stir at regular intervals during application. Apply 2 coats of White Knight True Bite if using a water-based topcoat. Do not use when the air or surface temperature is below 10°C or above 30°C or in high humidity.

Up to 14 square metres per litre depending on the nature of the surface.
Drying Times

Drying Times

Touch dry: 20 minutes. Re-Coat: After 1 hour.
Clean Up

Clean Up

Clean equipment and brushes with water immediately after use.

Overcoating

Overcoating

May be overcoated after 2–3 hours, using water-based finishes. Allow 24 hours drying before applying oil based finishes. Drying times will be slower in cold or humid conditions, in the absence of ventilation or where heavy film builds are applied.
