Super Primer is ideal for use on ferrous metals plus timber and masonry surfaces and is suitable under all most top coats.
Preparation

Preparation

The surface must be thoroughly cleaned, dry and free from grease, oil, dirt, salt rust scale and other contaminants. All loose material must be removed by wire brushing or mechanical sander until a firm metal base is established. BEFORE SPRAYING Cover all necessary areas to protect from overspray. It is essential to shake the can for at least one minute after mixing ball rattles to ensure product uniformity. Shake can occasionally during use. Do not use when the air or surface temperature is below 15°C or above 30°C or in excessive humidity.

Application Details

Spray outside or in a well ventilated area away from fire and heaters. Test spray first on a small inconspicuous area to ensure surface compatibility and finish suitability. Hold the can upright approximately 15-20 cm from the surface. Press button firmly. Spray with a smooth sweeping motion. Apply a pre-wetting mist coat followed by a full even coat. Overlap each spray pass. Repeat if necessary. To prevent paint sagging, avoid spraying too close to the surface or spraying too heavy a coat. After Spraying: To clean the nozzle after use and prevent blocking, turn the can upside down and press button until only gas escapes.

Up to 1 to 1.5 square metres per unit depending on the nature of the surface and the amount of overspray.
Drying Times

Drying Times

Touch dry: 10 minutes. Re-Coat: After 1 hour. Drying times will be slower in cold or humid conditions, in the absence of ventilation or where heavy film builds are applied

Overspray can be removed while still wet with mineral turps.

HANDY HINT

Available in three colours to compliment a wide range of finishing colours. For example, if you were painting a yellow topcoat the white primer would be suitable but if you are painting a red topcoat the red primer would be recommended.
Can be applied to a wide range of surfaces.
To remove a child proof cap insert a screwdriver in the cap and lever it up
The horizontal setting is used when spraying up and down and press button until only gas escapes.
To clean nozzle after use and prevent blocking turn the can upside down and press button until only gas escapes.
