White Knight Strokes High Gloss Enamel provides a high quality, hard-wearing finish and is ideal for all interior surfaces such as doors, architraves, timber trims. Designed for use in areas subject to heavy wear or condensation. Also available in Semi Gloss, Flat Black and White.

Strokes High Gloss Enamel is ideal for use on doors, architraves, skirting boards, windows and furniture. Note: Strokes Silver is not recommended on surfaces that are frequently handled. Drying Times

Preparation

Preparation

The surface must be thoroughly cleaned, dry and free from grease, oil, dirt and other contaminants. Previously painted surfaces must be sanded with #240 grade abrasive paper. Remove all loose, peeling, flaking or chalky paint. Fill nail holes and cracks with appropriate filler and sand smooth. Previously Painted with Oil-Based Paint: Prepare surface as outlined above. Spot prime bare patches with appropriate high quality primer. New Exterior Timber: Prepare surface as outlined above. Sand smooth to remove raised timber grain. Apply one coat of White Knight Strokes Wood Primer and then one coat of Strokes Oil Based Undercoat, allowing adequate drying between coats. New Interior Timber: Prepare surface as outlined above. Sand smooth to remove raised timber grain. Apply one coat of White Knight Strokes Oil Based Undercoat. Wrought Iron and Steel:  Prepare surface as outlined above. Remove rust and flaking paint with a wire brush, scraper or mechanical sander back to bare metal. Prime steel with White Knight Metal Primer, followed by one coat of White Knight Strokes Undercoat, allowing adequate drying between coats. New Galvanised Iron and Non Ferrous Metal: Apply one coat of White Knight SLS Etch Primer or White Knight True Bite; then apply White Knight Strokes All Purpose Oil Based Undercoat. Galvanised Iron and Non-Ferrous Metal: Apply one coat of White Knight SLS Etch Primer or True Bite followed by one coat of White Knight Strokes Undercoat, allowing adequate drying between coats.

Application Details

Stir thoroughly with a broad, flat stirrer in a circular lifting motion for at least 5 minutes before use. Stir at regular intervals during application. Apply two coats by brush or roller. Lightly sand with #400 grade abrasive paper between coats. Do not use when the air or surface temperature is below 10°C or above 30°C or in high humidity.

Up to 16 square metres per litre depending on the nature of the surface.

Drying Times

Touch dry 6 hours. Recoat after 16 hours. Drying will be slower in cold or humid conditions, in the absence of ventilation or where heavy film builds are applied.

HANDY HINT

Use White Knight High Gloss Enamel on areas that are subject to wear and tear and require a hard hearing enamel finish.
Sand between coats for an even paint finish.
Note: Like all oil-based paints, some yellowing of the original colour may occur with ageing.
