White Knight Stain Stop Sealer can be applied under oil and water based top coats on exterior and interior surfaces.
Preparation

Preparation

Remove as much of the stain as possible by washing with sugar soap, sanding or scraping. Fill nail holes, cracks and blemishes after applying one coat of Stain Stop Sealer. Spot prime these areas again before application of topcoat. Porous Surfaces: Surfaces such as bare plasterboard, timber and ceiling tiles must be thoroughly cleaned and free from all contaminates such as grease, dirt, wax and mould. Lightly sand the surface and dust down. Previously Painted Surfaces: Remove all loose and flaking paint and remove old chalky paint by washing with detergent, sanding or scraping. Thoroughly sand glossy or enamel surfaces.

BEFORE SPRAYING:Cover all necessary areas to protect from overspray. It is essential to shake the can for at least one minute after mixing ball rattles to ensure product uniformity. Shake can occasionally during use. Do not use when the air or surface temperature is below 15°C or above 30°C or in excessive humidity.

Spray outside or in a well ventilated area away from fire and heaters. Test spray first on a small inconspicuous area to ensure surface compatibility and finish suitability. Hold the can upright approximately 20-25 cm from the surface. Press button firmly. Spray with a smooth sweeping motion. Apply a pre-wetting mist coat followed by a full even coat. Overlap each spray pass. For badly stained areas a second application may be necessary. To prevent paint sagging, avoid spraying too close to the surface or spraying too heavy a coat. After Spraying: To clean nozzle after use and prevent blocking, turn can upside down and press button until only gas escapes.

Up to 1 - 1.5 square metres per unit depending on the nature of the surface and the amount of overspray.
Drying Times

Drying Times

Touch dry 10 minutes. Recoat after 2 hours. Drying times may be extended in low temperature and high humidity.
