White Knight Roof Guard is a durable, anti-corrosive roof and structural paint that provides a tough protective coating. White Knight Roof Guard has been formulated to protect exterior roofs and structural surfaces.

White Knight Roof Guard is ideal for use on primed galvanised iron, steel, and areas used for the collection of drinking water.
Preparation

Preparation

Treat any mould with a suitable anti-mould or biocide solution. The surface must be thoroughly cleaned, dry and free from grease, oil, dirt, salt, rust scale and other contaminants. Sand shiny, new metal to ensure maximum adhesion. Remove old flaking paint and loose rust with a wire brush, scraper or mechanical sander back to bare metal. For heavily rusted surfaces, use White Knight Rust Converter prior to using White Knight True Bite. Previously Painted Surfaces: Prepare surface as outlined above. Thoroughly sand glossy or enamel surfaces and wipe down with mineral turps. Spot prime bare patches with White Knight Metal Primer, then apply two coats of White Knight Roof Guard. Metal Surfaces: Prime unpainted ferrous surfaces with one coat of White Knight Metal Primer. For galvanised iron, first prime with one coat of White Knight True Bite or White Knight S.L.S Etch Primer, then apply two coats of Roof Guard.
Application Details

Application Details

White Knight Roof Guard may be applied by brush, roller or spray. Stir thoroughly with a broad, flat stirrer in a circular lifting motion for at least 5 minutes before use. Stir at regular intervals during application. Apply 2 coats. Do not use when the air or surface temperature is below 10°C or above 30°C.

Up to 14 square metres per litre depending on the nature of the surface. Clean Up with mineral turps
Drying Times

Drying Times

Touch dry: 6 hours. Re-Coat: After 24 hours. Drying times will be slower in cold or humid conditions, in the absence of ventilation or where heavy film builds are applied.

Clean brushes and equipment with Rust Guard Solvent or mineral turps.
