White Knight Natural Timber Finish is a semi transparent stain formulated to protect and enhance exterior and interior timber. Natural Timber Finish adds colour while highlighting the natural grain of the timber.

Natural Timber Finish is the ideal protective coating for pergolas, timber cladding, weatherboards, windows, fences, doors and garden furniture.
Preparation

Preparation

The surface must be clean, dry and free from dust, dirt, grease oil and other contaminants. Treat any mould with a suitable anti-mould solution prior to application. Fill nail holes and cracks with appropriate timber putty and sand smooth. New Timber: Allow new green timber to season approximately 6 months before application. The surface may be lightly sanded with a fine grade sandpaper, followed by dusting, or left in its original rough sawn condition. No primer or undercoat is required.

Stir thoroughly with a broad, flat stirrer in a circular lifting motion for at least 5 minutes before use. Stir at regular intervals during application. Apply at least two coats to a correctly prepared surface using a brush, roller or spray. Final brush strokes should be made with the grain to evenly distribute the finish. To prevent runs, avoid overloading the brush. Lightly sand between coats for a smooth even finish. Durability of Natural Timber Finish improves with depth of colour and number of coats applied. A minimum of 3 - 4 coats are required if the product is supplied in an untinted state. Do not use when the air or surface temperature is below 10°C or above 30°C.

Up to 14 square metres per litre on smooth timber, and up to 7 square metres per litre on rough sawn timber.
Drying Times

Drying Times

Touch dry 4 hours. Re-Coat: After 16 hours. Drying times will be slower in cold or humid conditions, in the absence of ventilation or where heavy film builds are applied.
