White Knight Grip Lock Primer is a high performance water based primer specifically designed to give excellent adhesion to difficult substrates. The absence of solvents, low odour and water clean up make White Knight Grip Lock Primer pleasant and easy to work with.

Grip Lock Primer provides exceptional bonding properties on glossy and hard surfaces such as fibreglass, laminates and old enamels. It can be applied under oil and water based top coats on exterior and interior surfaces.
Preparation

Preparation

The surface must be thoroughly cleaned and free from all contaminates such as grease, dirt, wax and mildew. Sand all glossy and enamel surfaces.Treat any mould with suitable anti-mould or biocide solution. The surface must be clean, dry and free from dust, dirt, grease, oil and other contaminants. Fill nail holes and cracks with appropriate filler and sand smooth. Treat any mould with suitable anti-mould solution. Previously Painted Surfaces: Prepare surface as outlined above.  Remove all loose, peeling, flaking and chalky paint and wash with detergent solution. Ceramics, Laminates, and Fibreglass: Prepare surface as outlined above. Lightly sand the surface and dust down.
Application Details

Application Details

Stir thoroughly with a broad, flat stirrer in a circular lifting motion for at least 5 minutes before use. Apply one coat of Grip Lock Primer. Work well into cracks and crevices. Maximum adhesion and hardness on non-porous surfaces may take 3 - 4 days. Do not use when the air or surface temperature is below 10°C or above 30°C or when the humidity is very high.

Up to 14 square metres per litre depending on the nature of the surface.
Drying Times

Drying Times

Touch dry 30 minutes. Re-Coat: After 2 hours. Drying times will be slower in cold or humid conditions, in the absence of ventilation or where heavy film builds are applied.
