White Knight Acrylic Primer Undercoat is a high performance water-based 100% acrylic primer exhibiting excellent tannin stain suppression and adhesion on interior and exterior timbers.

White Knight Acrylic Primer Undercoat is ideal for use under oil and water based top coats, on exterior and interior timber surfaces. Ideal for new and previously painted timber including pine, cedar, rough sawn, masonite, chipboards, plywood and weatherboards.
Preparation

Preparation

The surface must be clean, dry and free from dust, dirt, grease, oil and other contaminants. Remove all loose and flaking paint. Thoroughly sand glossy or enamel surfaces. Fill nail holes and cracks with appropriate filler and sand smooth. Treat any mould with suitable anti-mould solution.
Application Details

Application Details

Stir thoroughly with a broad, flat stirrer in a circular lifting motion for at least 5 minutes before use. Apply one coat of White Knight Acrylic Primer Undercoat. On very porous and tannin stain rich timber, a second coat may be required. When brushing, work well into cracks and crevices. A short nap roller will give best results on smooth timber. Do not use when the air or surface temperature is below 10°C or above 30°C or when the humidity is very high.

Up to 14 square metres per litre depending on the nature of the surface.
Drying Times

Drying Times

Touch dry 30 minutes. Re-Coat: After 2 hours. Drying times will be slower in cold or humid conditions, in the absence of ventilation or where heavy film builds are applied.
