DIY Colour Selection Made Easy

Colour selection for DIY renovations and makeovers has become significantly easier with the production of a Tile and Laminate Paint colour card. Tile and Laminate Paints are those godsend DIY products, by White Knight Paints, that deliver a professional-looking makeover to dingy, dated ceramic wall tiles and splashbacks and tired, outmoded laminate and melamine cupboards. And although each paint can be tinted in-store to more than a thousand hues, the colour card presents colour chips of a large selection of fresh, clear colours that are currently Australian favourites. Tile and Laminate Paints are both three step systems that require the surface to at first be cleaned with the White Knight Tile and Laminate Cleaner, then given one coat of Tile and Laminate Primer, then two coats of either Tile Paint top coat or Laminate Paint top coat.  Tiles can then be finished with a crisp white grouting line courtesy of the system’s Grout Pen. The Tile Paint dries to a tough, hardwearing high gloss while the Laminate Paint produces an equally wear-resistant satin finish.  Both are self-levelling paints that give a smooth, brushstroke-free finish. Colours on the colour card range from clean, fresh whites, neutrals and pastels to deeper, richer plums, greys and browns.  There is also a smart Silver and black featured on the colour card. A further advantage of Tile and Laminate Paints is the inclusion of Microban® in both finishes. The Microban® additive, which is included during the manufacturing process and provides protection for the life time of the paint, aids in the control of bacterial activity, mould and fungi. This highly specialised additive - it won't rub, wash or wear off - does not affect the paint's excellent durability and application qualities. The application of Tile and/or Laminate Paint provides an excellent means of updating and rejuvenating a tired bathroom or kitchen when the budget doesn’t stretch to a complete replacement. The White Knight Paints Tile & Laminate Paint range is available nationally from hardware stores and paint outlets.   A one litre can of White Knight Tile & Laminate Primer retails for around $29 while one litre of Tile or Laminate Paint is about $30.  A 500ml can of Tile Paint in Silver retails for $23.  The 500ml Tile and Laminate Cleaner retails for around $9 and the Grout Pen for $8.  One litre of Tile Paint covers an area of approximately 12 square metres. For information on local stockists please telephone 131 686 or visit the company’s web site on www.whiteknightpaints.com.au
